Ashford man charged after allegedly threatening victim with pool cue

A man has been charged after allegedly threatening a member of the public with two sections of a pool cue.

Sam Macleod, 34, of Goteley Mere, Ashford, is accused of common assault and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Police were called to Ashford High Street following reports a man was allegedly threatening a member of the public with parts of a pool cue

Police were called to Ashford High Street on Saturday at 1.05am after a man was seen allegedly threatening someone with parts of a pool cue in High Street, Ashford.

Officers attended and arrested a man in connection with the incident before also seizing a small axe found within a drawstring sports bag.

Macleod appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody. He will next appear at the same court on October 30.
