Man taken to hospital after being cut free from car that hit telegraph pole in Bethersden

A man was taken to hospital after being freed from his car following a crash with a telegraph pole.

The driver, thought to be in his late fifties, was cut free after the accident just after midnight.

His vehicle had landed on its side after hitting a telegraph pole in Pot Kiln Lane, Bethersden.

The ambulance came about 90 minutes late. Stock picture.

He was given first aid at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to hospital.
