A driver has been taken to hospital following an accident involving two cars on the M20.

One of the vehicles turned onto its side in the accident, which happened between Junctions 8 and 9.

Emergency services, including police and ambulance, rushed to the scene at the coastbound stretch of the motorway at about 7.30am.

A man sustained facial injuries and has been taken to the William Harvey for further treatment.
