Bottom side Ashford Town collected their second Ryman League Division 1 South point of the season with a 2-2 draw at Met Police on Saturday.

Steve Lovell’s side were indebted to skipper Ryan Briggs’ 48th minute equaliser for salvaging a point after Nicky Smith had given Ashford an 18th minute lead.

Met Police equalised in the 20th minute when Rob Smith volleyed home. They took the lead in the first minute of the second half when James Greenaway headed in Craig Brown’s cross.

The home side's joy was short-lived as Briggs (pictured) pounced on a loose ball in the Police penalty area to score from close range.

Ashford are away to Leatherhead in an FA Cup, first round qualifying tie on Saturday.
