MAJOR coastbound traffic tailbacks were caused on the M20 motorway last night and early this morning after an articulated lorry overturned.

The vehicle crashed near the Saltwood turn-off between junctions 10 and 11.

Ashford and Folkestone firefighters were called to the scene shortly before 10.30pm on Tuesday following unfounded reports that the driver was trapped and confirmed that the spilt cargo was non-hazardous.
