Train passengers experienced delays today due to a trespasser on the line.

British Transport Police (BTP) were called to tracks near Medway viaduct at 12.14pm following reports a man was on the line.

As a result, Eurostar and Southeastern's high speed services were ground to a halt.

He is now being looked after by paramedics.

A spokesperson for BTP said: "We were called at 12.14pm on 02/05 to an area of track near Medway viaduct following a report of a man trespassing on the tracks.

"Officers attended and took the man to a place of safety, he has since been passed into the care of the ambulance service."

Services have now resumed, but there are still some delays.
