Police investigating the death of a pedestrian hope to reopen the M20 between Ashford and Hythe in time for this morning's rush hour.

The coast-bound carriageway was closed all night after the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and died.

The accident happened about 8.20pm on Sunday just south of junction 10.
