Police helicopter deployed over South Willesborough, Ashford for Norman Road burglary

A police helicopter was deployed early this morning following reports of a burglary.

Officers attended a shop in Norman Road, Ashford after the alleged crime took place at 3.47am.

They then searched the area with help from the National Police Air Service, with a helicopter hovering overhead until about 5am according to nearby residents.

A 31-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in custody while enquiries continue.
