Police hunt footpath robbers

POLICE want to trace members of a three-man gang who ambushed three youngsters as they walked along a footpath under a railway bridge.

One of the gang members went through the youngsters' pockets and stole a mobile phone.

The thugs then demanded cash and kicked and punched one of the youths before making off.

All the offenders were carrying cans of beer and one of them had a carrier bag containing beer.

The incident happened near the Asda store in Kimberley Way, Ashford, at about 4.45pm on Monday.

One of the thugs is described as white, aged between 17-19, 5ft 3in tall, of slim build with blue eyes and pointed nose. He was wearing a grey Ekko hoodie with a black Academic hoodie underneath and dark blue track suit bottoms.

The other offenders are described as being aged about 18 and wearing a hoodie and covering his face. A third offender also covered his face.
