In a tweet on Tuesday morning, police reported two officers were responding to the "violent incident" but added there were no serious injuries to colleagues or members of the public.

They added while one person had been taken into custody "another can expect a visit in the near future".

No serious injuries were reported by the woman who was the alleged victim of the reported assault.

The arrested woman has since been released on bail and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
