Police hunt man after Ashford burglary

Police are searching for a man after an interrupted burglary in Ashford.

Officers are appealing for information after a Lakemead resident caught a man stealing from their home.

The burglar was seen stealing tools from the property's garage at around 6.40pm on Monday.

After being disturbed by the victim, he jumped over a fence and fled the scene, with police being unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as wearing a dark hoodie.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and have appealed to anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist the investigation, to contact them.
