Plaster falls from Ashford town centre store Mobile Cottage

Police have taped off part of Ashford high street after plaster fell from a town centre shop.

Material came loose from a section of building above the Mobile Cottage store.

A wide police cordon has been set up to protect passers-by getting near the area and risking injury.

A pile of plaster can be seen at the foot of the shop, which is opposite Boots.

No one is thought to have been injured.

Earlier this year, an incident on a larger scale saw two cars crushed by falling bricks in Broadstairs.

Part of another building also collapsed in Herne Bay as a result of Storm Dennis in February.

Police have sealed off the area
