Sex assault on toddler

A GIRL of two was indecently assaulted as her grandmother tended to the child's sister who was choking on a sweet.

Kent Police say the incident happened by the newspaper kiosk at Folkestone bus station.

A man walked over to the girl, who was in a pushchair and touched her between the legs. He then walked away and was seen standing outside a shop in Bouverie Place staring at the grandmother and her grandchildren.

The man is described as a white man, aged 60-65, of smart appearance, with well groomed grey hair. He was wearing a light bomber style jacket.

The incident occurred at around 3pm on Saturday afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC John Honey at Folkestone police station on 01303 850055.
