Efit of a man hunted over alleged sex assault in a Folkestone flat

This man is being hunted over allegations a woman was sexually assaulted at knifepoint in a Folkestone flat.

Detectives want to trace the man, who is said to have subjected the woman to a frightening ordeal.

She is said to have been attacked in the Radnor Park Road flat at around 8.30pm on Sunday.

Kent Police said the woman, in her 40s, was pushed to the floor and assaulted.

The victim kicked the man and pushed him away before he left the flat in the Pavilion Road direction.

Now police have released an efit of the wanted man - described as in his mid-30s, 5ft 6ins, with short ginger or strawberry blonde hair and was unshaven.

He is reported to have muscular arms and a fat stomach. He was wearing a blue, long-sleeved top, dark, denim jeans and dark footwear.

DCI Emma Banks said: "The woman has been left very frightened by the ordeal.

"He is described as smelling of alcohol, perhaps he had been drinking in a local pub or club earlier in the day on Sunday.

"We need to speak to anyone who recognises this man or thinks they may have seen him. It was very warm on Sunday evening – I am sure there would have been people around in this area of Folkestone between about 7.30pm and 10pm."

House-to-house enquiries have been carried out and anyone with information is asked to phone DS Stuart Ward at Kent Police on 101, giving reference ZY/20634/13.
