KENT Police say a man being questioned in connection with a serious sex attack on an 18-year-old woman has been released on bail.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday in a park between the Liquid and Life Club and the Civic Centre in Ashford.

The man voluntarily attended Ashford police station on Saturday to be quizzed by detectives. A second man, who was arrested on Sunday, has also been released. Detectives say a third man is still being questioned.

The scene of the attack, between East Hill and Tannery Lane, was closed off for a long period over the weekend while forensic teams searched the area.
