Store workers' ordeal at hands of masked knifemen

TWO members of staff were threatened with knives during a robbery at a store in a Kent town on Easter Sunday.

Two men entered the Co-op in Brookfield Court, Ashford, at around 9.30pm and demanded to know where the safe was.

Both of the men were masked.

One of the men threatened a female assistant who sustained a wound to her cheek.

The second robber threatened a male assistant, but he was not injured.

The offenders escpaed through the back door after stealing a quantity of cash.

The first offender is described as around 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black stocking over his face, black clothes, black gloves and a black hoodie.

The second man was also around 6ft. He was wearing a black balaclava, black gloves and a black hoodie.
