Flooding, felled trees, damage to property and power cuts were all felt across Ashford this week.

Residents awoke on Monday to witness the fallout from Storm St Jude, which first hit the borough late on Sunday and continued throughout Monday morning.

The strongest winds and rains peaked early that morning, with gusts estimated between 70 and 80mph.

A tree felled near Liquid nightclub

Among the properties to narrowly avoid more serious damage was Liquid nightclub in East Hill in Ashford.
