Suspected burglar charged after spate of shed thefts in Charing Heath

A suspect is due to appear in court charged with a number of shed break-ins near Ashford.

It follows three reports made to police in Charing Heath during the evening of Sunday, February 13 where items including a pressure washer were stolen.

Johnny Collins, 21, of Wind Hill, Ashford, was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary yesterday following an investigation by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad.

He was also charged with the theft of a hot tub from a store in Sevington on Wednesday, February 9.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
