Police have appealed for witnesses after thieves pinched a 1.5-tonne digger from a council depot.

Officers were alerted to the crime at the depot on the A20 Ashford Road in Charing overnight between 7pm on Wednesday and 6.30am on Thursday.

The mini trailer was sitting on a trailer when it was taken, and now officers would like to hear from anyone who noticed anyone acting suspiciously or any vehicles in the area or have any information about the stolen plant machinery.
