Thugs rob man in alleyway

A 38-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries when he was attacked by three men in an alleyway near a primary school.

The victim was kicked and punched to the ground and sustained fractured cheekbones and extensive bruising to his face.

His wallet, keys and mobile phone were also stolen in the assault which happened off Jemmet Road, Ashford, which leads to Ashford South Primary School.

Police spokeswoman Rosemary Alexander said: "The incident happened at around 1.10am on Monday, March 6.

"Weald police would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything which may assist in this enquiry. They are asked to contact DC Theo Perez at Ashford Police Station on 01233 896281."
