Police called after break in at Boots in Ashford High Street

An entrance to a high street shop has been taped off and boarded up by police after a break in.

Police were called to Ashford High Street last night following a report two people had broken into Boots.

Officers attended and a door to the shop had been damaged and fragrances reported stolen from inside during the incident at about 10pm.

This morning the corner entrance at the junction with the high street and North Street was blocked off.

The shop remains open today despite the damage with access via the other entrance.

One suspect is described as a man or teenage boy wearing a short-sleeve black, hooded top, black shorts and dark trainers.

The other is also a man or teenage boy who was wearing a dark hooded top and tracksuit bottoms and a black rucksack which had a white stripe down the back.
