The Edinburgh Road multi-storey car park has re-opened.

Ashford Borough Council has found a temporary solution to the structural problems which means the car park will now be open over the Christmas and New Year period.

The car park was due to re-open last month after being shut for repairs, but the discovery of a crack in the ramp support caused a delay, infuriating nearby business owners.

In the New Year the council will temporarily close the car park again to allow the contractor to put a permanent solution in place.
