Two arrested after motorcyclist dies in Ashford crash

Two people have been arrested after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car.

The incident happened at Canterbury Road, South Willesborough, Ashford, at 5am on Tuesday and the seriously injured man died later that morning at the William Harvey Hospital.

South Kent Police spokesman Rosy Alexander said: “Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless and dangerous driving.

“They have been bailed pending further inquiries.”

The vehicles involved had been a 50cc motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta.

Kent Police’s Serious Crash Investigation Unit attended the accident and the road was re-opened at around 10.30 that morning.
