Two in court over neighbour dispute attack

Two men have appeared in court charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an attack on which left a father of six fighting for his life.

Paul Hopkins. 32, was attacked outside his house in Beecholme Drive, Kennington, Ashford, after a row with a neighbour and is now in a coma in a London hospital.

Christopher Goldfinch, 22, a student who lives in Falcon Way and Scott Stevens, 22, a groundworker who lives in Augustus Walk, appeared at Ashford Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday).

Both were remanded in custody and are due to appear for a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on August 17.

Victim, Paul Hopkins, 32, has undergone surgery to remove part of his skull due to internal bleeding. Doctors have given him 40 per cent chance of survival.
