Two to stand trial over stab attack on teenager

Two men will stand trial for attempted murder following a knife attack on a teenager in Ashford last year.

Trevor Moore, 21, and Michael Swansborough, 19, deny attempting to murder Lloyd Smith in Hythe Road on October 15.

The two men appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday. Their trial was fixed to start on April 6 and is expected to last five days.

Mr Smith, 18, suffered multiple stab wounds in an alleyway behind a newsagents in the early hours. He was left in a critical condition.

Moore, of Western Gardens, Willesborough, and Swansborough, of Bridge Street, Wye, were remanded in custody.
