Vandals strike in Newtown, Ashford

Police are investigating after vandals left a long trail of graffiti in Ashford .

A number of signs, roads and a car were damaged in the night-time campaign over the weekend.

A string of damage has been left across Newtown, Ashford

The meaningless scribbles were left across several roads in Newtown, late on Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Included in the damage was a van and at least one car in Beazley Court and Turner Close.

A police spokesman said: "Police were contacted at 1.15pm on Sunday following a report of criminal damage to a van in Beazley Court, Ashford.

"The damage is believed to have been caused between 10pm on Saturday 31 October and 7.15am on Sunday.
