Two vehicles were dumped in country lanes and set on fire within a few miles of each other last night.

Firefighters were initially called to Laws Lane, Aldington Frith, near Ashford, just after 9pm where a four wheel drive vehicle was alight in a ditch.

Then just before 11.30pm they went out again, this time to Blindgrooms Lane, Shadoxhurst, roughly five miles away, where a Mercedes pick-up truck was on fire.

Firefighters were called to the scene. Stock picture.

Police were called but are not currently treating either fire as suspicious.
