Residents living in Great Chart are being advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to a fire involving a large quantity of tyres.

Two fire engines and an all-terrain vehicle are at the scene of the blaze in The Street.

It happened broke out just after 7pm.

A fire service spokesman said: "We are advising residents in the areas of Godinton Park and Hothfield to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.

"There are no reported injuries."

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
