Police arrest 27-year-old woman on suspicion of criminal damage after being called to reported disturbance in Bulleid Place, Ashford

A 27-year-old woman from Ashford has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after a 'disturbance'.

Police were called to Bulleid Place, Newtown at 11.30am today.

It is reported that a window and a door were damaged in the incident.

A woman was arrested in Newtown

An eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said two police cars and a police van descendedon the quiet road.

He said: "The lady got in the van of her own accord but this was some three hours or so after the police arrived."

Witnesses said police cars were at the scene for hours
