A woman died weeks after being involved in a car crash.

The 68-year-old’s car was reported to have hit a tree last month and officers have now revealed she lost her fight for life three weeks later.

The crash happened at about 3.45pm on Thursday, May 8, when the victim’s yellow Fiat Panda went off the road on the A252 near its junction with Dane Street, Chilham.

Police were at the scene of the crash.

The driver, who was from Challock, suffered multiple fractures and was taken to Kings’s College Hospital in London by helicopter.

Firefighters had needed to cut her free from the car wreckage.
