Around 10 police cars are believed to have descended on the Kingsnorth area to search for the child this afternoon.

They joined a search party that had already been set up by neighbours.

Thankfully, he was discovered after sharp-thinking police officers thought to check in his father's car.

An eyewitness said: "The neighbours formed a search party and covered a large area.
