More than 100 people watched almost 50 acts competing in the Ashford’s Got Talent competition.

Each entrant had a three-minute slot to showcase their talents, with singers, dancers, violinists and even a rock band on show.

Oliver Line, a singer who attends the Showbiz Academy in Ashford, was the overall winner.

Oliver won a trip for him and his family to Eurodisney, courtesy of Eurostar.

Each of the four category winners has also won the chance to perform at the switching on of Ashford’s Christmas lights, and at Ashford Festival in the Park next summer.

Ex-councillor Mick Hubert, actor and presenter Debbie Dawson and Mandy Newing from Marks & Spencer were the judges at the event organised by Ashford Town Centre Partnership.

Compere, kmfm presenter John 'Webbo’ Webster said: “The crowd were very supportive; they really got behind the performers. They clapped them on and they clapped them off.

“The standard was brilliant all day.”
