10-man Town fight back

A 10-man Ashford side staged a dramatic recovery to almost rescue a point against Chipstead at Homelands on Tuesday night.

A very poor first half saw them crash to a 3-0 deficit with two goals from lively front man Danny Oakins.

It prompted boss Steve Lovell into making all three changes at the interval.

But Plan B quickly became Plan C as a a clash of heads saw Jimmy Bottle carried off with a head injury.

Remarkably Town then staged a terrific fightback with two goals from debutant Claude Seanla.

The on-loan striker netted twice in as many minutes and although Ashford then battered a stunned Chipstead side they just could not find a third for what would have been an extraordinary point.
