Grasshoppers produced the comeback of the day in the Ashford & District Sunday League's Bodkin Cup, coming back from

3-0 down to beat fellow Division 2 side Galacticos 4-3.

Steve Rice, Russell Wood and Mark Kerry had seemingly put Galacticos in control before Chris Goddard pulled one back. Matt Harris’ long-range effort added a second before he and Goddard scored in the final two minutes.

Aldington defeated Fox Sunday 3-0, and now meet Market Hotel in the next round. Mark Hazel, Stuart Daniels and Chris Gillam were the men on target.

Peter Shields and Chris Holmes ensured Division 1 side Mersham claimed their second cup win of the season over Premier side Troggs 2-0, while Tim Sims (hat-trick) and Mark Honeysett put Bethersden through to the quarter-finals after beating Crusader 4-0.

Aaron McGuiness grabbed a brace as Hamstreet won 4-1 at Appledore. Tom Wilmshurst and Ross Ketley added the others, with Richard Foster replying.
