A trio of Ashford golfers tasted success in Portugal last week during a Pro-Am event.

Homelands Golf Club teaching professional Dominic Collins and Ashford Golf Club pair Beryl and Graham Sutherland were joined by Dutch golfer Annette Schwartsmans for the four rounds played on Vilamoura’s Millennium and Old Course, Quinta do Lago and Christie O’Connor’s design at Amendoeira Resort,

They finished six points ahead of the rest of the field and Collins also finished second in the pro tournament, with a level par 72 round on the final day on the Christie O’Connor course.
