Two arrested on suspicion of affray after armed police swoop on The Crescent, Sidcup

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray following an armed police response.

Officers were called to The Crescent, Sidcup shortly after 6.30pm yesterday following reports of two men carrying weapons outside a home.

Police swooped on the street and arrested one man on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

A second man went into a different address where a woman, believed to be known to him, was inside.

Officers then attempted to negotiate with the man.

They later entered the house and arrested him on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

No injuries have been reported and enquiries into the incident continue.
