Two accidents on the London-bound A2 between Canterbury and Brenley corner caused long delays this evening.

Queues stretched all the way back to Wincheap and the police asked motorists to steer clear of the area.

At the time of the accidents, police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "Police are attending two collisions both on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 near Boughton.
