The three baby gorillas that left Howletts Wild Animal Park for a new home in Africa can now be adopted online.

It’s part of the Aspinall Foundation’s programme to help the plight of endangered animals.

Oudiki, who just turned two, Kouki who will be two in November and baby Tiya, who is just six months old, arrived at their new home in Gabon last month.

Their transfer, protection and well-being is thanks to many of the sponsors and donors who care about the future of endangered animals.

By purchasing an adoption box for £25, children will receive an entry ticket to Howletts or Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, an adoption certificate plus fun gadgets for a mobile or pc.

If adopting a gorilla isn’t your thing, you can choose an animal from the charity’s “adopt in a box” series including tigers, rhinos, African hunting dogs, lemurs, red pandas, Malayan tapirs, elephants, anteaters and giraffes

The funds raised from all the adoptions contribute towards being able to sustain a vital breeding programme and in cases like the three baby gorillas, being able to introduce them to a safe natural habitat.

In addition, the money helps to cover the cost of food and looking after the animals.
