Canterbury: Victim airlifted to hospital after two-car crash closes Adisham Road, Aylesham

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after she was cut free from a vehicle following a two-car crash in Aylesham.

Police, fire crews and paramedics raced to the scene in Adisham Road after being called at about 10.15am.

The crash, which happened near to Aylesham Cemetery, involved a Corsa and Fiat Punto.

In order to reach two women trapped inside the Corsa, firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the car's roof.

One casualty was taken away by air ambulance, while the second woman and a man were taken to hospital by road.
