Police are investigating another Amazon delivery van robbery in Canterbury - following a separate incident last month.

Officers have today released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in relation to the second robbery, which happened in St Peter's Place last Friday.

A man got into the grey-coloured van and drove off shortly before 2pm.

The vehicle reportedly went in convoy with a black VW van.

The Amazon van was, however, later located about one mile away in Penshurst Place on the Hales Place estate.

Inquiries into the robbery are ongoing to determine whether anything was stolen from inside.

Investigating officers have have now released a CCTV image of a man who may be able to help.

They are also asking anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage which may assist the investigation, to get in touch.

The van theft comes after another Amazon vehicle was stolen in the city in April.

Police were called to Chaucer Road on April 14, before recovering the van just 20 minutes later.

Ronnie Mead, 33, of Hunton Gardens, Canterbury, has since been charged with robbery, driving without insurance and possession of cannabis.

He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, May 16.
