Canterbury city centre attack sparks police investigation

A young man was injured in an attack after an argument broke out between two groups of people.

The victim, who is in his 20s, suffered facial injuries and required hospital treatment after the assault in The Parade, close to the junction with Rose Lane and Longmarket, in Canterbury.

An investigation has been launched into the incident, which took place between 3am and 3.15am on Sunday, February 2.

Police are urging anyone with information about the attack to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/23048/20, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
