Bill on smacking 'won't stop child abuse'

A KENT Conservative MP is criticising proposals to criminalise parents who smack their children hard enough to leave a bruise.
The Lords are today due to vote on a Bill that would allow parents to give mild physical punishments, but outlaws anything harsher.
