An expanding burger chain which has long held plans to open in Canterbury is to open its 11th restaurant tomorrow.

7Bone Burger will be launching its new branch in the city from noon.

7Bone will open tomorrow

Between 20 and 25 staff are to start their new jobs as the first customers are welcomed to the eatery on the corner of Burgate and Butchery Lane.

The prime site was previously the home of another burger firm, on the form of Byron.

The company entered administration last summer and the Canterbury store never reopened after lockdown.

Work kitting out the 7Bone site has been ongoing during recent months and bosses have been tight-lipped on an opening date - until now.

7Bone will operate from 12pm until 10pm between Sunday and Thursday, and shut an hour later at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The firm does not use a booking system, so diners are served on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The menu ranges from beef burgers and hot dogs to chicken sandwiches, as well as a selection of craft beers and cocktails.

A full vegan menu is also set to be offer.

A huge brookie stack

The company says all of its food is made from premium, locally sourced ingredients and cooked fresh to order.

Founded by entrepreneurs Matthew Mollicone and Richard Zammit in Southampton in 2013, the chain is yet to have a base in Kent.

The unit extends onto Butchery Lane

Earlier this year, Chuck and Blade Burgers launched in Sun Street.
