Burglars target nine new build homes off Stour Street, Canterbury

Burglars have targeted newly-built homes in Canterbury city centre.

Nine properties off Stour Street were broken into between 1pm on Saturday, and 7.30am yesterday.

Tools and copper piping were reported stolen.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Inspector Ian Swallow said: "The offenders would potentially have needed a vehicle to transport the copper and tools away from the site.

"We are appealing for witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who noticed a vehicle at that location, to contact us.’
