A man has been taken to hospital this morning after two vans collided at a junction on the A28 near Canterbury which closed the road.

It happened around 6.45am at the junction of Station Road with the A28 at Chartham, causing long tailbacks in both directions.

Emergency services were called to the scene to deal with the casualty and re-direct traffic.

Traffic was diverted up Hatch Lane but the road was re-opened at 8.25am.
