Attack in St Peter's Lane in Canterbury leads to Kent Police witness appeal

A man was left with a fractured eye socket and a broken foot after being attacked in the street.

The victim was standing near the junction with St Peter's Lane, in Canterbury, when he was punched in the face by a stranger who he had spoken to earlier in the night.

Two other men, who had been speaking to the victim, were also assaulted but suffered only minor injuries.

Three men - aged 21, 26 and 18, from London - have been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident at 2.45am on Sunday, September 7.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack or a row between three men and a woman about five minutes earlier in the High Street, near the junction with Guildhall Street.
