Canterbury suffered their first home defeat of the season after a 30-19 reverse against Henley in National League 2 South.
Trailing 8-7 at half-time, Canterbury conceded four second-half tries. They failed to exploit the slippery conditions and squandered both territory and possession.
Scores by Ben Thomas, pictured, Nicky Woodbridge and Matt Sheen, two of them converted by Phil Gibson, were the highlights of a muted team performance which followded a record 70-19 league defeat at Rosslyn Park the week before.
Canterbury hooker Tom Rogers, just back from injury, was yellow carded early on and skipper Chris Hinkins hobbled off with an ankle injury.
Full-back Gert De Kock, back from a spell with Tonbridge Juddians, tried hard to inject some pace in the home side, but their opponents coped better with the wind and the rain.
