Canterbury Rugby Club see off strugglers in National 2 South

Two late tries gave Canterbury a somewhat flattering 27-12 victory over National League 2 South strugglers Barnes on Saturday.

Second-from-bottom Barnes were still in contention until Canterbury scored twice in the last nine minutes through two of their replacements, George Bertolis and Max Cantwell, to add to their two earlier tries by Jack Davis and Mike Melford.

Cantwell was introduced after just 13 minutes when acting captain Rob Keir had to depart with a broken arm - another unwelcome addition to Canterbury's long injury list.
