Police have closed a route out of Canterbury after a two-vehicle accident.

They were called to Broad Oak Road close to the level crossing over the Canterbury West to Margate line at just before 9am.

One person is reported to have been injured.

Broad Oak Road towards Shalloak Road is closed at the Vauxhall Road junction. The road has also been closed at the Sweechgate end.

The vehicles are being recovered.
