Police called to A2 Coastbound near Canterbury after car seen in bushes

Police have descended on a dual carriageway after reports of a car leaving the road.

Officers are currently on scene on the A2 Coastbound near Canterbury.

The road has not been closed and traffic is believed to be coping well.

It is possible that the car has been there overnight, as no driver has yet been located.

A police spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called at 10.09am to the A2 coastbound at Canterbury following a report that a vehicle had been seen in bushes at the side of the road.

"Officers are currently at the scene."
